How much do additional drivers cost?

There is a £35.00 charge for each additional driver per rental.

Does the price include insurance?

All prices for Car and Van Rental include Cars on Demand insurance which covers our vehicle, passengers and any third parties. It does not cover injury to the driver or damage/theft of personal effects or goods. Car leasing does not include Insurance.

Is there an insurance excess charge?

Yes. An excess of £500 is applicable. This will increase according to the group and value of the vehicle and will be held as a deposit.

Can I hire if I have penalty points on my licence?

We can only accept up to 6 penalty points within the last 5 years. If you are in any doubt please call to check before making a reservation.

I passed my test in the last year, can I hire?

No, our insurance requires that drivers must have held a full driving licence for at least 2 years.

Is there any age restriction when hiring a vehicle?

Drivers must be 23 years or over (Prestige & Mini Cooper 25 years or over). The upper age limit is 75

Can you supply vehicles with an automatic transmission?

Yes. We have a large selection of models.

What do I do in the event of a breakdown?

In the event of a breakdown, you will find an emergency roadside assistance number displayed on the inside of the vehicle.

What documentation do I need to bring with me when hiring a vehicle?

To hire a vehicle, you must bring a valid drivers licence and proof of your address (acceptable documents include utility bills and bank or credit card statements issued within the last 3 months). Please note that drivers with a new style photocard licence must bring both parts.
Overseas visitors must produce a valid domestic driving licence accompanied by a passport.

Can I take a rental vehicle to Europe?

European rentals are available and can only be by prior arrangement. Customers are responsible for travel insurance costs and European breakdown recovery for the vehicle and passengers. Additional charges will apply.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept payments by most major credit/debit cards. We do not accept payment by cheque or cash.

What time do your rentals start?

Rentals can start at any time during our opening hours and are based on a 24 hour period.

Can I return the vehicle outside your normal office hours?

Unfortunately, no. Due to the fact that the vehicle has to be inspected, you must return it during our normal hours of business, and hand the keys to a member of our staff.

My licence is at the DVLA to be updated, can I still hire?

Yes, but there will be a small charge as we need to call the DVLA when you arrive at the branch. Please bring 2 proofs of address with you.
